Updating Balance

There are quite a few reasons why you might want to update or increase a balance without a transaction.

Update Balance will allow you to add a balance to an account.

Click the Update Balance Box located in the account overview of the member's account you wish to make an adjustment on.

There is a quick reminder in this screen to use add credit or add sale for anything other than adding a balance.

  • Choose "Set the amount to add to the balance"
  • Choose what the adjustment is for (account fee, membership dues, protein shake..).
  • Add the amount due in the Add to balance box.
  • Be sure that the new balance is what you want it to be.
  • Add a custom description - updating balance, member owes past dues, account fee for after hours policy rule break...
  • Then click Save

You can also choose "Set an exact account balance" as an option. This just allows you to set the total on top of an already existing balance without having to do the math. 😁

When you use set an exact amount, if your request adds a credit to the account, Gym Insight will pop up an error message to use Add Credit to complete this task.


Look at the new balance to verify the balance is what you wanted.
