Defining Add-on Member Rates in Edit Membership

By following these instructions, you can easily set up payment structures that accommodate additional members and define the charges for each member beyond the minimum requirement.

Section 1: Number of Members

The "Number of Members" setting allows you to specify the minimum number of members included in the membership payment. This setting ensures that the main payment amount covers the specified number of individuals. For example, if you set the number of members to 2 and the payment amount to $40, the payment of $40 will apply to the membership for 2 people. The additional member payment amount will only come into effect when there are more members added beyond the specified number.

Section 2: Allowing Additional Members to be Added

To enable the option for adding more members than the set number, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and check the new checkbox labeled "Allow additional members to be added."
  2. Checking this box gives you the flexibility to include more members than the minimum requirement. For instance, if you set the number of members to a minimum of 2 but want to offer the option to add more members, such as in a family account where kids are free or have an extra charge, checking this box is necessary.
  3. Leaving the checkbox unchecked ensures that the membership must strictly adhere to the number of members set. For example, if it is set to 2, you will only be able to create memberships with exactly 2 members.

Section 3: Additional Member Amount

The "Additional Member Amount" field must either be set to 0 or a specific number.

This field determines the charge for each additional member when the "Allow additional members to be added" checkbox is selected. When you add more members than the set number, this amount will be applied to each extra member beyond the minimum requirement.

Configuring multiple-member memberships in Gym Insight is straightforward using the aforementioned settings. By setting the number of members, allowing additional members, and defining the additional member amount, you can easily customize your payment structures to meet the needs of various membership types, such as family accounts or group memberships.
