Setting up Mailchimp Integration

Welcome to Gym Insight! In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of creating a Mailchimp account, obtaining your API key, and seamlessly integrating it into your Gym Insight settings for automated synchronization.

Step 1: Creating a Mailchimp Account

1. Go to Mailchimp and click on "Start free trial" if you don't have an account.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the account creation process.

Step 2: Obtaining Your Mailchimp API Key

1. Navigate to the API Keys section of your account.
2. Click Create New Key.
3. Name your key. Be descriptive, so you know what app uses that key. Keep in mind that you’ll see only this name and the first 4 key digits on your list of API keys.
4. Click Generate Key.
5. Once we generate your key, click Copy Key to Clipboard. Save your key someplace secure–you won’t be able to see or copy it again. If you lose this key, you’ll need to generate a new key and update any integration that uses it.
6. Click Done.

Step 3: Integrating Mailchimp with Gym Insight

1. Log in to your Gym Insight account.
2. In the main menu, go to "Settings" and select "Mailchimp."
3. Paste the Mailchimp API key into the designated field.
4. Click "Sync" to start the syncing process.

Step 4: Using Mailchimp Merge Tags with Gym Insight

Gym Insight allows you to easily create and send dynamic content to your members with Merge Tags, please familiarize yourself with Mailchimp Merge Tags.

Step 5: Allowing for the Initial Sync Process

1. Once your Mailchimp API key is integrated, Gym Insight will initiate the initial synchronization.
2. This process may take some time, so allow it to complete without interrupting your computer.
3. Monitor the sync progress in your Gym Insight account.
