Installing Sales Guru on a Handheld Device

Installing Sales Guru onto your tablet is easy! Below are instructions for iPad and Android tablets.

*The Amazon Fire tablets are not compatible, as they do not allow you to install the Sales Guru application.

Be sure that the device you are using for Sales Guru can be updated to the latest operating system. If your tablet can no longer perform Operating System updates, it is likely too old to use.

iPad  (Scroll down for Android instructions)

To install Sales Guru onto your iOS tablet, first go to your web browser and type in the Guru URL into the address bar as seen below.


If you are setting up Sales Guru for membership accounts, use the URL https://guru.gyminsight.com

If you want to use Sales Guru's guest account feature, use the URL https://guests.gyminsight.com.


Next, click on the share button and scroll down to select “Add to Home Screen”.


Note - you may need to swipe your finger to scroll down the list of options until you find the "Add to Home Screen" button.


A new screen will pop up to confirm. Click Add.


This will add an icon for “Insight Sales Guru” on your Home screen!


Just tap to use Sales Guru. If you need to delete it, just click and hold until the “-” appears. Click on the “-” and click delete.


Android Tablet

To install Sales Guru onto your Android tablet, first go to your web browser and type in the Guru URL into the address bar. 

Next, click on the menu button and select “Install”.





Note -  You may see an install icon on the right side of your address bar.

A new message will pop up to confirm. Click Install


This will add an icon for “Insight Sales Guru” on your homescreen!

Just tap to use Sales Guru. If you need to delete it, just click and hold the icon and move it towards “Remove”.



Troubleshooting guide

While the steps above will successfully install the guru applications to your tablet or Ipad, things sometimes do not work as expected.  In that nature we have put together these helpful steps.


  1. Gurus are re-routing to auth.gyminsight.com
    1. If this occurs you are brought to a login in screen instead of Guru applications, please login in.  
    2. Close the application and see if the login as restored Guru to proper working order.
    3. Reach out to Gym Insight for further troubleshooting by calling Customer Service.
  2. Guru is not behaiving in an expected fashion.
    1. If this occurs a cache reset of the guru maybe needed.
    2. Please on the device:
      1. Type https://guru.gyminsight.com/reset  For Sales Guru
      2. Type  https://guests.gyminsight.com/reset For Guest Guru
      3. After reset the application will need to be registered, my selecting a name for the device and ensuring your business's location is selected.
      4. If issues persist reach out to Gym Insight for further troubleshooting by calling Customer Service.
